It produces a larger glue surface area than a simple miter joint, with the added advantage of more precise edge alignment. Stronger than a Simple Miter Joint. Great for Plywood. Completed joint eliminates having any end grain showing on the joints for a clean, consistent grain match. Use for stock from 1/2" to 3/4" thick for making boxes, cabinet frames, drawers.
